London Calling
From Michael Faraday’s Christmas lecture on electricity in 1829, to remarks on the planets delivered by Carl Sagan in 1977, ICoNS delivered a host of lectures in the very same storied, iconic Theatre at The Royal Institution in London.
Topics of interest included the cutting edge technology of newborn genomic sequencing, implementation science, public health, ethics, equity and patient experience.

Travel & Accommodations

As you may have heard, there are strikes planned for the UK’s National Rail System, the London Underground, and London Heathrow Airport.
Please plan ahead and leave ample time in your travel schedule because buses, taxis, and ride-shares will likely be overwhelmed.
As of October 3, 2023, the following days are expected to be affected by the strikes:
• Train strike: October 4
• Tube strike: October 4, October 6
• Train drivers overtime ban: October 2 – October 6
• Airport Baggage Services Strike: Oct 6-9
This schedule is subject to change, so please refer to UK news sources for updates. Information is also available on the London tube strikes at the Transport for London site, and on the rail strikes at the National Rail site.
We advise you to check for flight delays and/or cancelations before arriving to the airport. Please also arrive early to the airport to allow for longer processing times.
Your registration also allows you to livestream the event in real time if delays affect your travel plans. We’ll be sending information on how to access the livestream on Monday, October 2.
