Drs. Ingrid Holm, Aaron Goldenberg, and Tshaka Cunningham discuss the ethical, legal, and societal implications of newborn sequencing, with an emphasis on the ethical duties of genomics researchers and the opportunities for greater inclusion and diversity.

Sequencing Technologies: Panel Discussion

Representatives from Illumina and Oxford Nanopore Technologies delivered remarks at an academic-industry pre-event the afternoon of 10/5, where representatives from industry and academia participated in panel discussions on the challenges and opportunities surrounding newborn sequencing.

Precision Population Health: Panel Discussion

Rounding out our panel discussions, Nic Encina, Bethany Zettler, Carrie Blout Zawatsky, Alice Tuff-Lacy, and Asaf Bitton (L to R) talk implementation – successes in their work, limitations of their approaches, and what they hope for the future of implementing newborn sequencing at scale.
